We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation will contribute significantly to the successful completion of projects, from excavation and grading to paving and site development. Duties

Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and other construction aggregates across various job sites. Conduct pre-operation inspections of dump trucks and other heavy equipment like excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to plan routes and delivery schedules that maximize efficiency while maintaining safety protocols. Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction equipment including excavators, graders, and dozers as needed for different phases of the project. Maintain accurate logs of material deliveries, equipment usage, and safety inspections. Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, including securing loads properly and adhering to site-specific safety guidelines. Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity of equipment. Support other construction activities such as paving, horizontal drilling, tanker operations, or water truck duties when required. Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress, safety concerns, or operational issues to ensure seamless workflow.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating dump trucks in a construction environment with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation. Mechanical knowledge of dump trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving regulations is essential. Familiarity with construction site safety standards and protocols. Ability to operate additional heavy equipment such as graders, horizontal drills, tankers, or paving machinery is a plus. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of various construction processes including paving and grading. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and operate heavy machinery for extended periods. Knowledge of construction materials handling and logistics coordination.
