Position Summary

Constructors Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Dump Truck Driver to drive a truck equipped with a dump body to transport and dump loose materials, such as sand, gravel, crushed rock or paving materials. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hard worker, and reliable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.

Drives dump truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.

Secures loads using tarps.

Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.

Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations.

Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. May perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or tire chains

Assists workers in loading and unloading truck.

Must crawl in and out of truck box to clean out, oil box and pull construction tarp.

Must observe and practice safety standards and policies of the department.

Position Requirements & Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a valid NE Commercial Driver s License (Class B minimum). Must meet insurability for driving requirements of the company.
  • Must have a current Class B CDL with a good driving record.
  • Must have previous driving experience handling large trucks.
  • Must have an understanding of the Safety Rules & Regulations of the industry required.

Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding job that regularly requires the employee to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds to shoulder height.

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.

The employee is occasionally exposed to hot and cold weather conditions.

The noise level will very while in the field.

Must be flexible regarding the work assigned due to temporary job assignments at other Ready Mix Plants.

This is a non-smoking campus and facility.

Condition of Employment

Candidate is required to meet the above qualifications, task frequency and PPE requirements. Approval of pre-employment reference & background checks, and post offer drug/alcohol testing with fit for employment screening (if required) are required as conditions of employment. This also applies to all transfers, fit-for-duty and return to work programs.
