Direct Support Professional

Duties:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Implement behavior management systems to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities
- Document and maintain accurate records of services provided

Skills:

- Experience in hospice care, social work, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques
- Strong direct support skills, including caregiving and assisting with daily living activities
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with behavior management systems and strategies
- Understanding of resident rights and person-centered care principles

-Must have reliable transportation
