Seeking Direct Support Professional Staff to provide one-on-one support on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm (exact hours are flexible and additional hours may become available) to a 27 YO man who has developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder and Down syndrome, and related caregiving needs, utilizing DDA Self-Directed Services to ensure he has the support needed to live in his home and community as independently as possible in the Westminster area.
Please note: You will be an employee of the individual you are supporting and paid through a fiscal management service. You will not be an employee of Kent Buhrman, LLC.

This position provides direct supervision and person-centered support with a wide range of skills. You will assist the individual with:
Maximizing independence by reinforcing life, safety, and social skills
Providing 1:1 arm's length supervision in the community and 1:1 line of sight supervision in the home
Engaging in meaningful community activities
Providing personal assistance as necessary, including assistance with personal hygiene
Behavioral Support, the applicant must be able to follow the behavior plan protocols
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus (applicant must be 18 years of age or older)
Must pass a criminal background check
Must have a valid Driver's License with less than two points and reliable transportation
Must have a valid CPR & First Aid Certification (trainings must include in-person skills training component; hybrid class is okay)
Prior training and experience working with individuals with I/DD, including autism, is preferred. RBT certification is desired
Positive energy, team player, and ability to remain calm under pressure is a must
