DSHS BHA Program Coordinator

While this consultant concept was brought to life over 50 yrs. ago, it has been re-enlivened and applied to the state hospital model of care.

Our services provide comprehensive assessment and detailed recommendations to the respective treatment teams. These will include specific psychopharmacologic, medical, behavioral, and other evidence-based interventions and the relevant staff education and training to facilitate their implementations. Our Staff members provide direct care, specialized services, and evidence-based individual/group therapies to adults with severe psychiatric conditions.

King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use.
Some of what you\'ll do:

  • Analyze hospital staffing numbers, determine shortages, and schedule staff on all three shifts as needs occur throughout the hospital using our Scheduler program
  • Assign overtime staff to cover vacancies
  • Anticipate potential conflict in staffing by reviewing future staffing needs
  • Plan, evaluate, and consult with supervisors and managers to identify problems in scheduling
  • Coordinate the development of long-term strategies to assist with organizational planning needs and changes
  • Prepare reports for management using Microsoft Office programs
Who should apply?
Professionals with high school graduation or equivalent and 2 years of experience in scheduling or equivalent education/experience.

  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel
  • Experience with an electronic scheduling system
  • Great attention to detail
