Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall finishing, with experience in various aspects of construction including plastering, taping, sanding, and finishing drywall surfaces. This role requires a commitment to quality craftsmanship and safety on the job site. Candidates with experience in related trades such as carpentry, painting, or remodeling are encouraged to apply. Duties

Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and smoothing to achieve a seamless appearance Apply texture finishes as required by project specifications Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate finishing work Install and repair drywall components including metal studs, framing, and trim carpentry elements Perform caulking, sealing, and fixture installation to ensure proper finish and durability Assist with related tasks such as plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration when needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and industry standards Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, painters, and other trades to meet project deadlines

Experience

Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction trades such as plastering or taping Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading is preferred Experience working on construction sites with familiarity in framing, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry is advantageous Skilled in using hand tools and power tools specific to drywall finishing and related tasks Background in restoration industry work or mold remediation is a plus Maintenance Person experience or expertise in renovation projects will be considered beneficial Prior work involving schematics, fixture installation, metal stud framing, or airless paint spraying enhances candidacy

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $150.00 - $250.00 per day
