Job Description

Country Partners Cooperative is a full-service diversified agricultural cooperative in central Nebraska located in 20 communities, partnering with farmers and ranchers to accomplish more together.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Responsible for daily activities at the dry plant and associated warehouse facilities. Includes but not limited to receiving, storing, and loading of fertilizers, chemicals, and seed for customers and custom application equipment with appropriate paperwork being accurate and complete. Responsible for maintaining all equipment associated with the dry facility and keeping the area outside and inside the dry facilities clean and neat. Aids in other outside operations and maintenance as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(include the following and others may be assigned)


Responsible for accurately loading trucks/application equipment with products used by company's applicators.


Responsible for accurately loading customer equipment with products they require.


Responsible for accurately loading packaged products for both custom application and customer pickup.


Responsible for accurately recording all inventory movement to keep product shrink to a minimum.


Responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep, and repairs of the liquid shed and equipment operated.


Responsible for the cleanliness, and upkeep of the area around the liquid shed and in the dyke area.


Responsible for the maintenance of dry spreader trailers, making sure all are accounted for at season end


Ensures paperwork is filled out legibly, timely and accurately and transferred to billing department.


Secures dry plant and associated facilities when there is not a Company employee present.


Work closely with the agronomy sales mgr. in season to meet the needs of the agronomy department.


Operates the facility in a manner that keeps all accidental spills to a minimum.


Operate skid-steer loader, forklift and liquid fertilizer blending and loading/unloading equipment.


Works with supervisor and agronomy sales staff to maintain optimum inventory levels of products needed.


Maintain all company requirements necessary to be in company's "Drivers Qualification Files".


Understand and comply with safety and governmental regulations.


Works with supervisor and fellow employees to keep errors and mistakes at a minimum.


Provide good customer relations.


Aids in the loading and delivery of agronomy products.


Takes orders by phone or in person.


Assists in other departments as well, such as during harvest.


Assists with duties in liquid plant.


Follows established credit policy.


Aids in the maintenance of all equipment and facilities.


Participate in Country Partners Health and Safety Program as job requires.


Performs other duties as directed by supervisor, will have seasonal harvest duties

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There will be limited supervisory responsibilities in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimal computer skills required.


Good planning and organizational skills necessary.


Good communication skills required.


Must be dependable.


Must be physically capable of performing tasks.


Must be able to perform task safely


Must have strong mechanical background

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree, six months related experience and/or training, or combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current Commercial Drivers License (Class B minimum with Air brake, Tanker, and optional is (Hazardous Materials Endorsement). Current CDL Physical, Fork Lift Operator Certification.
