The Richardson School of Music is hiring! We are looking to hire experienced Percussionists to teach students of all ages and to help us keep growing. RSM aims to hire qualified teachers who will equip students with proper technical and musical instruction, and to inspire and bring joy into people's lives through the education of music.

Responsibilities

Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual students' needs Teach music theory, aural skills, and practical techniques to each student Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources Motivate students and encourage progress Communicate with academic staff and parents Assess pupils' abilities, providing feedback
Qualifications

Evidence of enrollment in an accredited college/university in completing a state-approved teacher preparation program within 3 years of the date of hire or in the field experience (strongly preferred) Demonstrable knowledge of music curriculum and the ability to implement it Ability to interact collaboratively with students, parents, and administration Excellent oral and written skills Confident in leading a group of students Able to complete a local background check and fingerprints Strong organizational skills Able to thrive working in a team environment
Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
