Job Overview


This position goes from Chicago, Illinois to Charlotte, North Carolina from there. You go to Atlanta, pick up an empty and turn around and go back to Chicago.We are seeking a qualified and experienced Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to join our transportation team. This role involves operating various types of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and dump trucks, to deliver freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving record, excellent route management skills, and the ability to load and unload cargo as needed. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, compliance, and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities



Safely operate commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual methods while adhering to safety protocols Transport goods across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness Follow all safety procedures related to Hazmat handling and tanker operations Manage route driving efficiently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules Assist with securing loads and verifying cargo against shipping manifests

Experience



Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route management Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for Hazmat and Tanker operations Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and freight hauling is highly desirable Prior experience with forklift operation for loading/unloading cargo is a plus Knowledge of safety regulations related to hazardous materials handling and transportation regulations (DOT compliance) Demonstrated ability to load & unload freight safely and efficiently in various environments
This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safe driving practices, punctuality, and excellent customer service. Candidates should possess a clean driving record, relevant certifications, and the physical capability to handle demanding transportation tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 per week
