Job Description

We are hiring a Wheelchair Transportation Driver / Stretcher Transport Driver with a verified clean background and an excellent driving record to provide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services throughout the Tampa Bay area.

As a Medical Transportation Driver, you will safely transport patients and clients using specialized wheelchair vans and stretcher vehicles. This role requires a safety-focused, reliable, and compassionate professional who can deliver high-quality patient transport services while following all medical transportation safety standards.

This position allows you to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals access hospitals, medical appointments, rehab centers, and essential care.

Key Duties (Keyword Optimized)

Safely operate wheelchair vans, paratransit vehicles, and stretcher transport units for non-emergency medical transportation Transport patients and passengers to hospitals, clinics, rehab centers, and scheduled appointments Assist clients with wheelchair loading, stretcher transfers, and mobility support Secure wheelchairs, stretchers, medical mobility devices, and tie-downs properly for each trip Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and mechanical readiness Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, incident reports, and transport documentation Communicate clearly with dispatch, facility staff, caregivers, and clients Follow all NEMT safety protocols, DOT regulations, ADA guidelines, and medical transport procedures Safely load, unload, and maneuver mobility equipment using proper lifting techniques Operate the vehicle in compliance with local traffic laws, company policy, and patient safety standards
