Job Description
Job Title: Driver Department: Therapeutic Recreation
Summary: Operates a motor vehicle to perform various duties involving the transportation of Residents, Jewish Senior Services
Reports To: Facilities Supervisor, Director of Resident Life
Titles Supervised:
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Transport Residents to special events and other locations as directed. 2. Follow safety regulations of the vehicle, including loading and unloading Residents in wheelchairs. 3. Refine vehicle after each trip for future use. 4. Detect faulty operation of motor vehicle and notify supervisor of need for service. 5. Observe traffic laws; follow safety regulations. 6. Maintain vehicle and work areas in a clean and orderly condition. 7. Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience
Licensure: Connecticut CDL license
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines; Ability to read and communicate effectively.
