Scope:

  • The Driver is responsible to coordinate and execute the critical ship and month end lists; deliver product to and from buildings 1-6 as needed; effectively communicate to department supervisors and leads when delivering critical jobs to their areas; act as a key liaison for efficient production control between buildings with minimal supervision. The driver is also responsible for picking up and delivering inter-office and outgoing mail between buildings 1-6 and the post office. On occasion, the driver will be tasked with pick-up/drop-off to local suppliers. Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment with a very high volume workload.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate critical work, interoffice mail, packages, and product from buildings 1-6
  • Facilitate jobs to meet/exceed company goals
  • Deliver product between buildings as needed to meet/exceed company goals
  • Alert department supervisors and lead on critical product when delivered
  • Works effectively and responsibly with others
  • Accomplish all job related paperwork in the most accurate, timely and ethical manner
  • Communicates regularly to supervisors/managers, suggests procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors/managers safety hazards and issues
  • Properly handle and dispose all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations as directed by the EHS department
  • Responsible to report all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Perform job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow directions identified in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all Safety Procedures and Alerts

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and Safe Driving Record required
  • Understanding of product flow as outlined on Critical Ship List, Month End List, and Manifold Tracker.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal. Ability to comprehend and follow directions and procedures accurately; to organize facts and figures; apply basic arithmetic

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for up to 9 hours a day.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment, assist other departments when workloads demand it, and effectively work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize work load; perform multiple tasks simultaneously, working under tight deadlines
  • Problem solving where development of new solutions, methods, systems will result in impact on the company\xe2\x80\x99s success
  • Implement own recommendations and see projects through to completion
  • Ability to work overtime and is flexible to work weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for up to 9 hours a day.
  • Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
