Operates safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
Compiles driver paysheets and follows up with operations for missing information and/or paperwork
Audits driver paysheets for accuracy using driver logs
Processes third-party carrier pay, collaborating with Supervisor and Accounts Payable to ensure proper payment
Prints payment statement, attaches back up and files
Responds to incoming calls from 3rd party vendors and drivers
Collaborates with Drivers, Dispatchers, and Supervisors to ensure accurate documentation and timekeeping
Collaborates with Human Resources, IT, and Payroll to ensure accurate driver pay
Performs regular driver pay audits to ensure system is calculating driver pay correctly
Makes recommendations to supervisor, IT and other stakeholders for system improvements and corrections
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education, Experience, and Certifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum two years administrative related experience and/or training preferred
Experience working in the trucking industry with Dispatching experience preferred
Experience with dispatch/truck software preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines
Proficient use of MS Office Suite, including Word, Outlook and Excel
Ability to work independently and problem solve when dealing with occasional non-routine matters
Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of algebraic concepts
Excellent customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to audit own work for accuracy
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions
Willing to answer dispatch calls and desire to learn dispatcher role
Working Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other office related devices. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.
