Position Summary



Drivers need a reliable point of contact they can trust. As a Van Dispatcher, you play a critical role in supporting drivers on the road while ensuring customers receive timely, professional service. This position balances operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction by coordinating loads, managing schedules, and proactively resolving issues. Dispatchers are essential to a successful trucking operation--your goal is to keep drivers safe, legal, and supported while delivering outstanding service to our customers.

The Van Dispatcher acts as a liaison between drivers, customers, and management and is responsible for effectively dispatching deliveries and managing daily operations.

Duties and Responsibilities



Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.

Prepare and manage daily delivery schedules using knowledge of customer requirements, peak delivery times, and alternate routes. Coordinate efficient and cost-effective, and safe deliveries while ensuring sufficient coverage across assigned service areas. Work with Load Planners to assign drivers based on availability, schedules, and skill sets to meet operational demands. Ensure compliance with all applicable DOT regulations and company policies. Monitor and utilize truck tracking systems, dispatch boards, fuel management systems, and other operational tools to manage driver performance and ensure efficient operations. Communicate effectively with drivers using dispatch and communication equipment to ensure timely updates and issue resolution. Maintain a professional office environment and positive working relationships with customers and coworkers. Provide load planning teams/customers with accurate delivery status updates as needed. Review daily driver documentation, including pre-trip inspections and reimbursement submissions, for accuracy and completeness. Identify, evaluate, and resolve operational or delivery issues requiring immediate attention. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices; share relevant updates with team members. Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time. Participate in an on-call/after-hours rotation as assigned.

Education and Experience



High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior logistics, dispatch, or customer service experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
