Responsibilities

Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to pick up and deliver goods across designated routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of heavy or fragile items. Manage route driving with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic laws to guarantee on-time deliveries. Provide outstanding customer service by communicating professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs, addressing any questions or concerns. Assist with warehouse activities including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Handle manual transmission vehicles confidently, demonstrating strong driving skills in various conditions. Load and load cargo efficiently, ensuring secure placement to prevent damage during transit. Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, pickups, and route activities for accountability and reporting purposes.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong focus on customer service. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including moving inventory and operating equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts. Experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmissions. Knowledge of route planning and navigation to optimize delivery efficiency. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks related to moving cargo. Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members. Strong organizational skills for managing schedules, documentation, and vehicle maintenance records.
