Overview: The Delivery Driver is responsible for operating a light delivery / panel truck (from pick-up to 2 ton flatbed truck) or similar vehicle to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and finished products. Responsibilities:
Loads truck with items scheduled for deliveries. Determines most efficient order of delivery and prepares schedule showing order to be followed. Consults with supervisor about any unusual problems. Delivers items and gets receiving slips signed. Uses cell phone to report on progress of deliveries. Picks up returns and items for use by the company. Verifies items received against packing slips and signs receipt. Maintains simple records of deliveries and truck mileage. Follows maintenance schedule for having truck serviced. Takes other vehicles for service when instructed to do so. Reports any mechanical problems to supervisor. Assists in general warehouse duties upon completing delivery route. On occasions will be required to drive 18 wheeler with a float or trailer.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Valid driver's license (CDL) and clean driving record. Ability to read directions and use a street map to plot delivery route. Ability to maintain simple logs and records. Dependable worker able to carry out a series of work instructions without constant supervision. Must be physically able to lift up to fifty pounds regularly in order to load and deliver packages. Must practice safe driving habits. Abide by all highway rules and regulations. High school diploma or holder of GED or equivalent. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment. Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors. Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Climbing stairs. Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Quiet environment. Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
