JOB TITLE: Driver / Non CDL SUMMARY: Responsible for the safe operation of commercial delivery vehicle, security of truck inventory, accurate delivery, verification, invoicing and payment collection of products being sold. Ensure proper rotation, organization and stocking of retail inventory in sales and storage areas. JOB DUTIES: \xc2\xb7 Responsible for verification of products being sold and the accurate delivery to retail customer \xc2\xb7 Build and maintain relationships with retailers and the ability to navigate difficult situations \xc2\xb7 Adhere to company policies and laws (local, federal & state) pertaining to product invoicing, signatures and payment collection. \xc2\xb7 Organize daily paperwork and be accountable for all sales invoices, monetary deposits and product inventory associated with the assigned delivery route \xc2\xb7 Assist in the resolution of credit issues and the collection of past due balances \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of market territory and ability to efficiently navigate vehicle to scheduled accounts \xc2\xb7 Follow company policies and procedures regarding product freshness, rotation and handling of close to code products \xc2\xb7 Safely load and unload product from delivery trailer \xc2\xb7 Monitor truck inventory for out of stocks and close to code product \xc2\xb7 Follow all product handling procedures according to each retailer\'s policy \xc2\xb7 Execute delivery instructions from Delivery Supervisor, Sales Rep and District Manager \xc2\xb7 Merchandise displays and organize inventory storage areas \xc2\xb7 Stock retail shelves according to current shelf schematic \xc2\xb7 Ensure proper care, maintenance and safe operation of all company vehicles and equipment \xc2\xb7 Repair and repackage damaged goods \xc2\xb7 Ability to effectively communicate and work with other team members \xc2\xb7 Maintain a clean work place including tractor, trailer and designated areas at retail \xc2\xb7 Supervise delivery assistant performance and execution when assigned \xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: \xc2\xb7 Ability to use a 2 wheel dolly, wheeler or hand truck \xc2\xb7 Good communication skills and ability to work and collaborate effectively with others \xc2\xb7 Effective time management skills \xc2\xb7 Positive customer service skills QUALIFICATIONS: \xc2\xb7 Valid drivers license and maintain a good driving record \xc2\xb7 High School Diploma or GED \xc2\xb7 Must be at least 21 years of age PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS: \xc2\xb7 Customer service skills and good communication abilities \xc2\xb7 Prior beverage delivery or DSD delivery experience \xc2\xb7 Strong work ethic and positive attitude PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: \xc2\xb7 Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs \xc2\xb7 Hang merchandise as needed \xc2\xb7 Repetitive lifting, up to 50 lbs overhead \xc2\xb7 Bending, pulling/pushing up to 340 pounds on a two-wheeler \xc2\xb7 Ability to continuously stand or walk \xc2\xb7 Ability to bend and occasionally squat \xc2\xb7 Occasional carrying and reaching BENEFITS: \xc2\xb7 Medical, dental, vision coverage in addition to life and disability insurance plans \xc2\xb7 Paid Vacation and Paid Holidays \xc2\xb7 Retirement and Savings (401K) Plan Standard Sales Company, L.P. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
