Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital is searching for a dedicated Driver to be a part of our amazing team!


This position is responsible for driving an automobile transporting patients and employees on local or out of state trips. Occasionally, there may be long trips requiring overnight stay. This position will also be responsible for transporting documents or packages to various locations in Charleston, WV such as the Nursing Board, Department of Health Facilities and Office of Shared Administration. The individual in this position will be responsible for maintaining a travel log along with documenting their destination and mileage. As necessary, must be able to work holidays and weekends. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Performs related duties as assigned.


This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis alcohol and drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to alcohol and drug testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Candidates must successfully pass a background screening.

Licensure/Certifications:

Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of hire and must maintain such for the duration of employment May require a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), with the appropriate classifications, endorsements, and restrictions Must have had a good driving record, defined as no suspension or revocation of a driver's license within the past seven (7) years.
