Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic team! The position works split shift from 6:00am - 8:30am and 2:00pm - 4:30pm with opportunity to pick up additional hours between shifts.

Under the supervision of the Director of Operation, responsible for the provision of non-medical transportation services for individuals with disabilities receiving services with Broader Horizons.

Responsibilities

Timely and consistent attendance Complete a daily pre trip vehicle safety check Complete and submit a daily manifest as documentation of service provided Safety transport individuals with disabilities to and from day service program Follow planned route according to time schedule Clean assigned vehicle at end of shift Help individual with disabAilities on and off the van Complete all training as required by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and Broader Horizons.

Requirement

Knowledge of:

State of Ohio motor vehice laws and regulations

Skills in:

Use of smart phone technology and GPS. Safe operation of minivan and 15 passenger van. Able to drive in inclement weather conditions such as rain, snow and wind.

Ability to:

Lift up to 25 pounds frequently: must have full range of motion in upper body: bending and lifting required. Ability to recognize unusual. Conditions related to person with disabilities. Stand, sit or walk for lengthy periods pf time. Ability to read, write and understand the English language.

Qualification/License(s) required

High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required Knowledge of Ohio Department of Transportation laws, rules and regulations Must have valid Ohio driver's license and maintain a driving record in compliance with Broader Horizons Must successfully pass a criminal background check through BCII. Nurse Registry. Ohio Inspector General Check, ODODD Abuse Registry check and other required by law. Must successfully complete pre employment physical exam including drug test Must successfully complete an Ohio Department of Transportation physical at a frequency required by ODOT

Equipment used

Will be required to use cellular telephone and safety operate minivan and 15 passenger van.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
