The Dispatch Advocate is the key conduit between the Dispatch Operations team and the driver. You are the office representation of our driver professionals and work on behalf of the driver to ensure they have the right tools to deliver their load on-time with minimal disruption. Once loads are completed, the Driver Advocate ensures the driver load data is complete and accurate, monitoring/addressing driver, on-time and safety metrics, coaching the driver on areas of improvement.
Specifically:
Driver Logistics Coordination: Be the primary point of contact for the driver within the office.
+ Monitor phones and assist drivers calling in to dispatch; assist in resolving issues.
+ Ensure driver electronic records are complete by reviewing and completing all paperwork for assigned drivers. Monitor dispatch software workflow to ensure loads are being closed out correctly in real-time.
+ Monitor all drivers are tracking on time for pick-up and delivery.
+ Send drivers updated routes / pick- ups in workflow!
+ Monitor dispatch email and provide customers with drivers updates as requested.
Assist, as back-up Dispatch planner, as required.

Driver Communication + Update planner and scheduler of any delays to a driver's progress that might cause a missed pick up or delivery.
+ Coordinate with Scheduler to accommodate Customer requests.
+ Coordinate with the Maintenance team to prioritize truck/trailer repair, as needed.
Driver Supervision + Monitor that all drivers are starting on time for their shifts / pick-ups.
+ Manage daily tractor assignments.
+ Proactively send drivers the next days' forecast of dispatch
+ Be the first line of support with technical issues (Tablet/ELD/Total Mail/ADP)
+ Manage/approve driver's timecards in ADP.
+ Track and coach drivers on performance issues.
+ Monitor driver revenue per hour and idle time.
Job Requirements:
Requirements
1+ years within Dispatch, a Driver or within Transportation industry
Desire to coach and manage people and advocate on their behalf.
Excellent customer service, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work efficiently, with urgency and multitask.
Ability and availability to work extended hours if necessary.
Computer applications experience, including MS Office and TMW strongly desired.
Associates/bachelor's degree in operations, Transportation or Supply Chain desired
Wage Range: 20.00 - 20.00 per hour
