Job Description

Well established, locally owned and operated, family business is looking for the next team member. As a drain technician in the plumbing industry you will be responsible for unclogging residential and commercial drains. Drains such as kitchen lines, bath drains, toilets, water lines and sewer lines are a few of the various drains you would work on. This position requires the ability to communicate with customers, act in a team environment and pursue solutions to complex problems.

Duties : (Duties include but are not limited to)

*Ability to perform all sewer/drain cleaning duties

*Must be capable of offering customer options based on findings related to sewer/drain issues

*Ability to complete paperwork/invoices legibly and in an understandable manner

*Ability to communicate with dispatcher and office personnel and take direction from them

*Must comply with all safety standards and processes

*Must be responsible to follow up on calls needed

*Accountable for maintaining cleanliness of equipment, truck and job site

*Accountable for maintaining accurate and quality inventory on truck

*Must present a professional image by arriving on time, wearing company uniforms, and being neat, and well groomed

*Ability to follow instructions and be willing to be trained and adhere to company standards

Qualifications:

*At this time, we are looking for someone that has had 1-2 years drain cleaning experience.

*Clean driving record and valid driver's license - Provide a copy of driving record.

*Knowledge of drain and plumbing equipment and systems is a plus, but we are willing to train on the equipment we prefer.

*Must have insurable driving record

*Pass pre-employment screening

*Excellent communication skills

*Able to lift 100+ pounds

For Full-Time must be able to work Monday-Friday 8am-6pm plus rotating nights and weekends on call. For Part-Time, must be able to work Monday-Friday mornings or afternoons, plus rotating nights and weekends on call. We respect your time with your family. That is why when there is night and weekend work it is compensated at a higher wage.
*Drug Use/Smoking/Vaping on or off the job not allowed. This is a mentally and physically demanding job that will require your full capabilities.

*Our physical presentation and first impressions to our customers is important to us as we are working inside their homes. Our customers need to feel comfortable in our presence. Tattoos and/or body piercings must not be visible at anytime on the job.

*Must live in Salt Lake County or Bountiful.

Holiday & Overtime Pay (higher % rate)

Work Vehicle and Tools provided

Initial Training wage to be trained by the owner is $25/hr. (Length of training is determined by experience).

Once you are working on your own, you will be paid a % of each completed service call. We pay a higher commission percentage for evening/weekend/holiday service calls.
