Drafting Technician

Sprung Structures' 13-decade history began in 1887 designing custom canvas products. The Sprung family of inventors innovated and improved the technology over the years, applying it for structures in multiple industries including, military bases, schools, hospitals, sports arenas, fabrication plants, warehouses, and now sound stages.

Sprung Structures is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of

Drafting Technician

at our USA Headquarters in West Jordan, Utah.

The Drafting Technician is responsible for creating precise production drawings of our components. Reporting to the Drafting Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for reading architectural and engineering drawings, creating detailed fabrication drawings for production and engineering, drawing database management, and creating 3D models.

KEY Responsibilities:

Reading architectural and engineering drawings.

Creating detailed fabrication drawings

Database management

Creation of 3D models

Qualifications and Skills:

Post-secondary education in Engineering, Drafting Technology or equivalent is required.

Proficiency with AutoCAD

Proficiency with Inventor and/or

Solidworks is a must.

Skills:

Proven technical skills using Inventor and/or Solidworks or equivalent.

Proven knowledge of reading drawings and interpreting requests/ideas from various departments.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and use discretion in dealing with confidential information.

An inclination for attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).

Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.

A positive attitude and willingness to work and learn.

Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines.

Location:

Sprung Instant Structures Inc is located in West Jordan, Utah. The successful candidate must have reliable transportation to and from our facility. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. at the time of application.
