JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Drafting Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating clear, complete, and accurate product drawings, 3-D models, and bills of material.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify factors affecting product design by reviewing customer-provided information and participating in design review meetings
• Use knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, etc., in developing designs; confer with other departments to ensure integrity and manufacturability
• Submit preliminary and approval drawing packages to customer for review and make changes/corrections as needed
• Define, verify, and update bill of material requirements as drawings are developed
• Ensure accuracy of work by checking dimensions, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and of various parts to the entire project
• Notify appropriate personnel when other activities are ready to be performed during the design process (material updates, design checks, obtaining load calculation certifications, etc.)
• Submit final (certified) drawing package to customer
• Submit fabrication drawings to manufacturing and monitor throughout the manufacturing process

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Experience: Must have 2 or more years of recent experience using 3-D modeling and drafting software.
• Education: Associate\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Drafting Technology or similar field preferred.

COMPETENCY SUMMARY

• Must be proficient with AutoCAD and with at least one of the following: Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, ProEngineer/Creo, Catia, or Solid Edge.
• Must have strong attention to detail

Pre-employment skill tests will be administered. This is a full time position at our plant located in Richland, Mississippi. Local candidates only, please -- remote work and relocation assistance are not available. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
