Description:
Ensuring that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards in accordance with NAVSEA and NIWC requirements
Researching and preparing drafts and/or finished technical drawings to program management and customers
Assisting in receipt, distribution, and local management of Design Agent produced technical data in support of the local production of CSRR, GBS, CANES, and ADNS systems
Incorporating and maintaining the most current CSRR SCN and Modernization drawing packages to include all drawing redlines
Developing and maintaining Master PLAR/LAR/RLAR matrixes for CSRR SCN and Modernization drawing packages
Reviewing and analyzing released engineering change data and redline drawings and submitting recommended changes to engineering, quality, materials, and support
Collecting data and status reports from Corporate Production required for weekly/bi-weekly Production & Integration meetings
Providing direct support to the Afloat Submarine C4I IPT Technical Lead in drawing and engineering documentation review
Reviewing preliminary and existing technical engineering drawing documentation for discrepancies
Developing and submitting proposed recommended resolutions in support of PARMALT Liaison Action Records (PLARs) or Planning Yard Liaison Action Records (LARs) submissions
Providing DMSMS support as required
Participating in System Integration Team (SIT) meetings and Systems Engineering Working Group (SEWG) meetings
Participating in all CSRR Production meetings with NIWC Atlantic Corporate Production contractors and other NIWC Atlantic staff and Industry Partners to resolve drawings and part issues
Providing cursory QA reviews of production work as directed

Requirements:
Four (4) or more years of experience solving technical problems
Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance
Possesses a practical understanding of engineering/software concepts
Experience testing equipment/system to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely
Capable of performing depot-level repair and tests of equipment and cables in accordance with NAVSEA and NIWC requirements
Ability to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of Exterior Communication Systems (ECS) equipment and cables
Knowledge of computer aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and familiarity with material specifications and fabrication methods
Experience developing/maintaining and interpreting project timelines as required
Experience developing test procedures and removal/installation procedures as required
Desired Skills:
Familiarity working with a wide range of government civilians (NAVSEA, PEO C4I, NUWC, and naval shipyards), military personnel, contractors, shipbuilders, and vendors

Experience working with Exterior Communication Systems and Equipment onboard USN Submarines
