Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator (Excavator) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment including a dozer and excavator on construction sites. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Equipment Operator will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment while adhering to all safety protocols.

This position requires shift work including weekends/overnight.

This position is located in Aurora, NC

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators. Perform daily inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Safely transport materials using dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks when needed. Collaborate with team members to execute tasks efficiently and effectively. Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery to prevent accidents and injuries. Sit for long periods of time Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Experience

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with a focus on construction machinery. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment is essential. Experience operating farm machinery is a plus. Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery and other industry-standard equipment is desirable. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a commitment to safety at all times.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
