Job Purpose

To assist students with performing and developing academic, social, behavioral skills; assist in shaping student's behavior through positive reinforcement, redirection, and other strategies according to established techniques and procedures; provide positive behavior interventions for newly created DOVE Program.

Duties and responsibilities

Organizes and facilitates daily program activities Manages client's needs during program Works with Lead Facilitator and Program Coordinator to troubleshoot problems and provides care and assistance to other staff Responsible for consistent communication with participants assigned and regular program updates to program staff and partners Complete daily notes on each participant responsible for during programming Encouraging respect for ideas voiced during facilitation Steering conversations about the learning material Extracting varied insights from participants

Qualifications

Degree in related field preferred Demonstrable and relevant facilitation experience Capacity to formulate relevant, memorable curriculums Knowledgeable routine assessment and moderation operations Ability to drive critical, student-led dialogs about learning material Excellent verbal and written communication skills Respectful, astute, and accommodating Proficient in MS Office and in database software Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance Mandated Clearances (PA Criminal, Child Abuse, & FBI Fingerprinting)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
