Domestic Violence Advocate Description:



Seeking Advocates for our Domestic Violence Program (DVP) located in Windham, CT. Work as part of a team in our 24/7 residential shelter, which provides a safe environment to adults and children fleeing domestic violence. You would be a trained, certified domestic violence advocate providing individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, shelter and hotline coverage. As part of our DVP team, you would coordinate services for victims of domestic violence and collaborate with staff to meet their needs. Basic office tasks, such as copying, filing, and organizing materials, as well as cleaning, are required.

Domestic Violence Program



DVP offers services to anyone who is a victim of domestic abuse and provides a diverse array of services, including 24/7 emergency shelter, court advocacy assistance, referral and information services, support groups and counseling, case management, recreation, bilingual staff, educational programs for schools, and training for professionals throughout Northeastern Connecticut.

Schedule

- Windham location

3rd shift: Sunday through Wednesday, 8:45 P.M. - 7:15 A.M. (40 hours per week) 3rd shift: Thursday through Saturday, 8:45 P.M. - 7:15 A.M. (30 hours per week)

Qualifications:



3rd shift position - High School Diploma plus four years of appropriate experience required.

Salary/Hourly Range:



$19.00-$21.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Bilingual (Spanish/English) rate of pay:

$19.96-$22.59 per hour (depending on experience)
