As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of dogs while providing them with exercise, companionship, and care. Your experience with animal handling and customer service will be essential in creating a positive experience for both the pets and their owners.

Responsibilities



Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety and well-being during outings. Provide basic training commands to dogs during walks to reinforce good leash manners. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to pet owners. Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets, including picking up after them during walks. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and any observations made during walks. Manage multiple clients' schedules efficiently to ensure timely service. Provide additional services such as pet sitting or grooming when needed.

Qualifications



Experience in dog handling, including knowledge of dog training techniques and animal care practices. Veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable but not mandatory. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and heavy lifting capabilities for larger breeds. Previous experience in customer service, demonstrating strong communication skills. Background in pet grooming or kennel work is a plus. Equine experience or general animal handling skills will be considered an asset.
