Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate dog walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong affinity for animals, particularly dogs, and possess the skills necessary to ensure their safety and well-being during walks. This role involves providing exercise, companionship, and care for dogs in various environments while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Looking for a part time walker who has availability to work Monday - Friday 10-3 pm or a variation of 3-4 weekdays.

Duties

Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization. Monitor the behavior and health of dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to pet owners. Provide basic training commands to dogs as needed to reinforce good behavior during walks. Maintain a clean and safe environment by picking up after dogs and ensuring proper leash handling. Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their dog's behavior and activities during walks. Assist with pet sitting duties when required, including feeding, grooming, and administering medications if necessary. Handle multiple dogs at once while ensuring their safety and comfort. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Driving to and from clients homes in the Worcester area for walks and home visits. Walking 4-6 miles a day. Applicants must be in good shape and apply to walk in all types of weather. ideal candidate is a motivated, self sufficient individual that can meet the following requirements:

-Must have experience handling numerous dogs at once

-Must have a reliable car

- Must have working AC in your car

- Must have a smartphone

- Clean driving record with a valid drivers license

- Strong communication skills

- Strong time management

- Experience working with dogs of all sizes

- Comfortable driving with numerous dogs in your car

- Capable of walking 2-3 dogs at a time

Experience

Preferred candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Dog training or handling techniques that promote positive behavior. Veterinary experience as a technician or assistant, providing insight into animal health care needs. Pet care knowledge including grooming, restraint techniques, and general animal care practices. Customer service experience that showcases strong communication skills with pet owners. Heavy lifting capabilities for managing larger breeds or carrying supplies as needed.
