Brown Dog Inn is a boutique dog boarding and enrichment facility dedicated to providing top-tier care in a calm, nature-inspired setting. We're seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Dog Handler (training provided) or an Experienced Handler ready to grow with us and help uphold our reputation for exceptional care.

2 positions available Typical shifts: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM (some flexibility for 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM) Opportunity to grow and advance within a supportive, small-business environment

Responsibilities

Supervise and facilitate safe dog playgroups (after completing training) Learn each dog's name, habits, and needs Observe, record, and report dog behavior; complete daily notes Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment Follow safety and sanitation protocols Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members Assist with enrichment activities Help capture fun moments for social media

Qualifications

A genuine love for dogs and interest in building a career in animal care (no prior experience required -- we'll train you!) Weekend availability Dependable, flexible, and eager to learn Strong communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail, organization, and initiative Positive attitude and openness to feedback Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and performing hands-on tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing, and handling dogs Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 40 lbs

Compensation
