We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dog Grooming Assistant/Bather to join our dynamic pet care team. Duties

Assist groomers by bathing, drying, and preparing dogs for grooming appointments Must have basic experience and good knowledge of using Clippers and Scissoring for mini grooms. Safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments using proper restraint techniques Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work areas Monitor dogs during bathing for signs of distress or health issues Support with pet care routines such as brushing, ear cleaning, and nail trimming under supervision Ensure all animals are treated with kindness, patience, and respect throughout their visit Assist with kennel cleaning and maintaining a safe environment for pets Handle heavy lifting when necessary to transport or position animals securely Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs Follow safety protocols related to animal restraint and handling to prevent injury to animals or staff

Experience

Candidates should possess relevant experience or skills that support their ability to excel in this role. Preferred qualifications include:

Prior experience in pet grooming, kennel work, or animal handling environments Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience demonstrating familiarity with animal care procedures Knowledge of dog training techniques and canine behavior management Experience working with animals in veterinary clinics or equine settings is a plus Strong animal handling skills combined with patience and compassion Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners
