Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our pet care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent grooming skills, and experience handling various breeds of dogs. This role involves providing professional grooming services while ensuring the safety and comfort of each pet. The Groomer will help create a welcoming and caring environment for clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services such as bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for dogs and other small animals with precision and care Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their well-being during grooming procedures Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work areas in accordance with health and safety standards Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Work with boarding and daycare staff in ensuring a positive experience for the pets Ensure all animals are treated with kindness, patience, and respect throughout the grooming process

Qualifications

Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred; certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling skills Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and pet care best practices Ability to handle multiple pets safely, including those requiring heavy lifting or special attention Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during grooming sessions Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, with a commitment to providing high-quality care
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
