We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for the grooming and care of various pets, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and looking their best. This role requires strong animal handling skills and the ability to work effectively with both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools are sanitized and in good working condition. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming sessions. Handle animals safely and humanely, using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Keep accurate records of services provided for each pet, including any special instructions or notes from pet owners.

Skills

Proficiency in pet grooming techniques and tools. Strong dog handling skills with experience in animal care and restraint. Background in veterinary assistance or technician roles is highly desirable. Experience with equine care is a plus. Ability to lift heavy animals safely as required. Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Knowledge of dog training principles is beneficial but not mandatory. Previous experience in kennels or as a pet sitter is advantageous.
