Responsibilities

Monitor dogs during supervised playtime, ensuring safe interactions and preventing conflicts or injuries Assist with dog handling, including guiding dogs through activities and managing their behavior using positive reinforcement techniques Perform animal restraint when necessary to ensure safety during grooming, feeding, or veterinary procedures Provide pet grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene care to keep dogs comfortable and healthy Support pet sitting duties by feeding, administering medication if required, and observing for signs of illness or distress Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including cleaning kennels, play zones, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, health status, and daily activities Assist with basic veterinary-related tasks if needed, leveraging veterinary technician or assistant experience to recognize signs of health issues Handle heavy lifting when necessary for moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs safely Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently to provide a secure environment for animals and staff alike

Requirements

Prior experience in dog handling, pet grooming, pet sitting or veterinary assistant roles is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior management Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals when needed Familiarity with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily responsibilities Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members Basic understanding of animal care best practices and pet safety standards Reliable, energetic, and passionate about working with animals in a lively environment Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift
