We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. This role involves caring for dogs in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent animal handling skills, and a strong commitment to pet care and customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where animal welfare is the top priority.

Responsibilities

Supervise and interact with dogs during playtime and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being. Monitor animals for changes in behavior and assessing risks. Assist with dog procedures and activities to promote good behavior and socialization Handle animals with care, using proper restraint techniques when necessary Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including kennels, and play areas. Monitor dogs for signs of stress or health issues and report concerns to management Provide basic pet grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming (if qualified) Support pet care duties by feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed Ensure compliance with safety protocols and animal handling procedures at all times

Experience

Previous experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or kennel work is preferred Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods is beneficial Experience with pet sitting or animal care in a professional setting demonstrates reliability and compassion Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting with pet owners and visitors. A general understanding of professional behavior and boundaries is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting dogs or supplies)

Physical Requirements

Being physically sturdy is important for this position. Ability to be on your feet for several hours in the elements. We work in the rain, snow, heat, etc. We have small sets of steps around the facility and we walk large sometimes unruly dogs around.
This role requires a caring individual committed to providing exceptional pet care while ensuring a safe environment for both animals and staff.

Pay depends on experience.
