Job Description

Summary:

The Daycare Attendant is responsible for the direct care and supervision of dogs in our daycare program. This role ensures a safe, clean, and enriching environment while supporting the emotional and physical well-being of every dog in our care. Attendants play a key role in observing behavior, managing group dynamics, and building strong, respectful relationships with the dogs.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise dog playgroups to ensure safety, engagement, and appropriate socialization. Monitor dogs for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral concerns and report observations promptly. Clean and disinfect play areas, crates, kennels, and facility spaces to maintain sanitation standards. Rotate dogs in and out of yards based on play schedules and pack groupings assigned by the Daycare Manager or Daycare Lead. Support enrichment activities and implement structured play routines to keep the dogs engaged and happy throughout their playtime. Write daily report cards for assigned dogs that must include three pictures of the dog and a positive note about their day. Communicate with team members to ensure consistent handling of the dogs and reinforcement of the daily flow at Dogtown. Complete daily tasks efficiently and stay on schedule in a fast-paced, physically active environment. Assist with feeding, water checks, and medication administration as instructed. Follow Dogtown's policies and philosophy around respectful and meaningful dog care and dog handling.

Reports to:

General manager, assistant manager, and daycare lead.

Expected Hours:

25-30 hours/week

Scheduling Requirements:

Must be able to work on weekends.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
