Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather/Kennel Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing, grooming and kennel services to pets, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and well-cared for. Your passion for animals and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Duties

Bathe and groom dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring proper techniques are used for each pet's specific needs. Handle pets with care, using appropriate restraint techniques to ensure their safety during grooming sessions. Maintain a clean and organized bathing area, adhering to hygiene standards and protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming preferences. Assist with animal handling during grooming visits or other care activities as needed. Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members. Support kennel operations by assisting with cleaning and maintaining the facility as required.

Skills

Experience in dog training or veterinary settings is highly desirable. Strong dog handling skills, with the ability to manage various temperaments safely. Familiarity with animal care practices, including pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods. Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large dogs or equipment. Previous kennel experience is an asset, showcasing your ability to work in an animal care environment. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential for this role.
