Midamar Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Documentation & Logistics Specialist
to support our domestic and international shipping operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate export documentation, coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and facilitating communication between internal teams, customers, suppliers, and carriers.

Key Responsibilities
Review order files and verify shipment details, including quantities, weights, and product descriptions.
Prepare export documents such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and health certificates; submit electronic filings (AES) as required.
Coordinate domestic and international shipping schedules with internal teams, customers, suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with transportation providers; assist in sourcing and negotiating rates.
Review, create, and approve bills of lading and freight invoices.
Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, FDA, and export regulations.
Manage notarization, legalization, and chamber stamping processes.
Attend and coordinate weekly logistics and documentation meetings.
Support process improvements and maintain SOPs for documentation and logistics workflows.
Respond to customer needs and time-sensitive issues, including occasional overtime when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in logistics, export documentation, transportation coordination, or related roles required.
Warehouse or transportation industry experience is a plus.
Technical Skills & Requirements:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with customers, carriers, and internal staff.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and dependability.
Strong team player with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Light physical work; occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs.
Work is primarily in an office setting, with occasional exposure to warehouse or cold storage environments.
Regular use of computer and standard office equipment.
