The Docket Clerk position is responsible for managing the attorney's court schedule.
Responsibilities
Manage and organize court dockets using document management systems to ensure judgment information and docket outcomes are entered correctly.
Proofread and review dockets sheets and the calendar for accuracy and completeness.
Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records of client information and case details.
Communicate with clients to share information pertinent to their cases.
Communicate with the attorney and legal assistants to ensure cases are ready for litigation.
Support Legal Assistants with miscellaneous tasks.
Experience
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar legal administrative role is preferred.
Familiarity with document management systems is highly desirable.
Strong proofreading skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality documentation.
Experience in document review processes to assist attorneys effectively.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Data entry experience is essential for maintaining accurate records.
Relevant coursework in legal studies is a plus.
