Schedule/Hours: Salaried Full-time






This position is responsible for:




The Divisional Christian Education Director will promote Christian Education throughout the KT Division, maintain and develop the Christian Education Resource Center, prepare and maintain statistical records, budgets, records, lists, logs, and reports regarding the Divisional Christian Education Programs, and coordinate and conduct Safe from Harm training of personnel within the KT Division.




Key Responsibilities:






Acts as a resource in Christian Education to Corps Officers and Local Officers in areas relating to Salvation Army Corps programs, including local officer training and outreach programs; provides ideas and resources to the field for use in non-traditional outreach opportunities.



Assists the Corps throughout the Division in special instances in improving and advancing all Corps activities and programs, and strengthening the total Corps.



Trains responsible people in every location to a level that allows them to train others under their leadership. Trains summer camp staff during orientation at CPV. Conducts employee and volunteer SFH training as needed.



Conducts regional trainings; as needed, works with DSP, DYS, and Officers in the field to determine what is needed in the way of training; plans, prepares, and teaches or recruits trainers for specific leadership and development topics; communicates details to the field for attendance; sets up details with DSP, DYS, field Officers, etc., and attends at specified locations for these training sessions.



Assists in preparing the Christian Education budget; monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with budget limitations. Prepares and maintains accurate records, lists, logs, and reports regarding Christian Education Programs.



Physical Requirements and Working Conditions




Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to stand for extended periods while leading and directing events.

The ability to walk several miles a day outdoors in various weather conditions.

Work requires the ability to lift and carry, and/or push/pull moderate (up to 50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting.



Work is performed in a variety of settings, including home, office, and normal church environments where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work is also conducted outdoors with a likelihood of exposure to uncomfortable temperatures and conditions, including high heat and humidity.

Work may require driving a vehicle where there may be discomfort associated with heavy traffic or changes in the weather.

OR





Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.



Licenses and Certifications:




Valid Driver's License

Basic Archery Instructor Trainer
