District Manager - Self Storage Operations

CSSM is seeking a results-driven

District Manager

to oversee 8-15 self-storage locations across the western United States. This role is responsible for full

P&L ownership

, staff development, operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement across all assigned properties.

What You'll Do

Lead a portfolio of storage properties to achieve or exceed financial goals and KPIs. Recruit, hire, train, and coach high-performing store teams that reflect CSSM's values of

kindness, positivity, initiative, and process-orientation

. Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement action plans to improve revenue, occupancy, and customer satisfaction. Roll out company initiatives, best practices, and process improvements across multiple locations. Conduct regular property visits to ensure operational compliance, outstanding facility appearance, and employee engagement. Manage repairs, maintenance, and capital improvement projects--sourcing, hiring, and evaluating contractors as needed. Travel regularly by car or plane to visit properties and attend management meetings.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree

or

at least

3+ years of proven multi-unit management experience

in self storage, retail, or property management. Demonstrated success in revenue management and self-storage auction processes. Strong leadership and coaching skills with a track record of motivating teams to deliver results. Proficiency with

Microsoft Office

, particularly

Excel

(formulas and reporting), as well as

Word

and

Outlook

. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to make sound decisions using P&L and operational data. Willingness to travel regularly throughout assigned markets. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 40 lbs and occasional bending, stooping, or kneeling.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
