Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking an electrical engineer with distribution system experience to join our dynamic team. If you enjoy building campus power distribution systems from the ground up, or the challenge of expanding existing distribution systems to accommodate more capacity, this is the job for you. We are looking for quality distribution engineers and system protection engineers to join our electrical engineering team to execute projects for customers.

Wilson & Company is seeking a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer to provide these complex electrical engineering activities to support customer projects. These activities may include underground or overhead distribution systems, system layout and sizing, switching diagram development, one-line, and three-line development, equipment specifications, and transformer sizing to name a few. Gathering field data and generating electrical distribution models for customer systems are common projects. The customer base is in the municipality, utility, rail, industrial, and federal industries. Candidate must be willing to lead teams and travel for projects. Essential Job Functions:

• Your self-motivating personality with good communication skills is desired.
• Client interaction and coordination on an occasional basis.
• Effectively fosters relationships with team members and clients, as well as industry stakeholders and regulators.
• Participates in business development activities and bid preparation.
• Effective communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Good understanding of required engineering principles.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Creation and management of the electrical scope of work for given projects.
• Supports and coordinates development of detailed design drawings.
• Proficiency with overhead assembly equipment, underground hardware, SKM or Etap system analysis software and short circuit and arc flash analysis is a plus.
• Specification, selection, and review of distribution equipment to meet the performance requirements.

Required Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• A minimum of 2 ~ 6 years of experience with electrical design. Two years in distribution systems.
• Currently a licensed professional engineer in a US state is preferred.
• Experience in the preparation of work plans, budgets and project schedules is highly desired.
• Travel requirements will be job dependent, anticipate a few days per month.

Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $153,000
