Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Distribution Manager to oversee our logistics and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, inventory management, and transportation planning. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management principles and the ability to implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Duties

Manage and optimize supply chain processes, including inventory control, purchasing, and order fulfillment. Oversee warehouse management operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices. Coordinate transportation management activities, including freight logistics and shipping & receiving processes. Implement and maintain transportation management systems to streamline operations. Analyze data to improve demand planning, pricing strategies, and overall supply chain performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance e-commerce logistics and packaging solutions. Supervise materials handling, category management, and procurement activities within the distribution center. Ensure effective fleet management and dispatching operations for timely deliveries. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems to track inventory levels and optimize workflows. Lead a team of warehouse staff in picking & packing operations while promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or distribution roles is essential. Strong background in warehouse distribution, inventory management, and transportation planning. Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is a plus. Experience with data analysis skills to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies. Knowledge of materials management practices, including sourcing and freight operations. Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), AS400 software, or similar tools is preferred. Previous experience operating forklifts or other materials handling equipment is advantageous. A solid understanding of supply chain analytics will be beneficial in this role.
