Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing technical support to all internal users of the Florida Department of Health in Broward County. The incumbent for this position will work in a highly diversified and distributed data processing environment and will function as a member of the Information Technology Help Desk team maintaining and troubleshooting PC workstation, peripherals, communications equipment, network systems and related IT equipment.
Primary responsibility of installing, maintaining and supporting networked (LAN/WAN) PC workstations in a Windows and MS Office environment and responding to customer requests for support. Install software on workstation and answer, train and respond to requests for IT technical support made by the Florida Department of Health in Broward County staff. Help in maintaining the network environment in working condition and ensure compliance to system standards, protocols and procedures established by the Department of Health. The tasks include: troubleshoots workstations problems, computer peripherals, network connectivity, user network access and perform hardware and software installation as well as manage incoming service requests to assure the issues reported by the employees are accurately documented.
Coordinate with other technical staff on the installation of new equipment, software and other related hardware/software upgrades.
Provide timely contact acknowledgment to health department customers within 4 hours of receiving the designated call or work order Records all service calls in the Help Desk Work Order application within a 24 hour period of receiving the designated call.
Maintains continuing education and general health department trianing as reuqired or suggested by the section, agency and DOH policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: * Experience providing end-user IT support to local and remote in a public health setting.

• Experience with help desk ticketing systems, with understanding of support escalation levels.
• Experience imaging Windows computers with SCCM.
• Working Knowledge of VoIP telephony, cloud IP-PBX and cloud Auto Attendants and IVRs.
• Experience working with of Active Directory in a distributed computer enterprise network.
• Willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
• Current employee of Florida Department of Health.
• Experience with IT assets management (laptops, desktops, peripherals, sw licenses, etc.).
• Experience with procurement/purchasing process for acquisition of goods and services.
• Experience with wired and wireless network infrastructure maintenance and support.
• Experience with setup, operation and support of audiovisual systems.

Preferred Qualifications: * Working knowledge of computer hardware and software, including operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android, etc.).

• Work experience in IP networking principles.
• Experience using Footprints ITSM system.
• Knowledge of Cloud computing principles.
• Experience using My Florida Market Place (MFMP).
• Experience in IT customer service in a public health setting.
