Job Summary:

The Dispensary Marketing Specialist is responsible for dispensary retail marketing initiatives within the region, supporting Health for Life in Arizona and Nevada. This includes the development and execution of retail marketing programs that build awareness, acquire new customers, build loyalty and increase revenue, under the guidance of the Director of Marketing.

Essential Functions:

The Dispensary Marketing Specialist is responsible for the following:
  • Plan and manage annual dispensary marketing calendar (major holidays, promotions, vendor events, charitable partnership, external marketing and product launches)
  • Plan and execute dispensary promotions including recommending discounted items, determining promotion themes and elements, working with the creative team to develop collateral and assets, and working with the store managers and third-party vendors to execute promotions and ensure support that drives sell through
  • Develop and maintain third party vendor relationships to ensure vendor support of sales, promotions. merchandising and pop-up events within the dispensaries
  • Analyze marketing campaigns, presenting results and optimizing programs
  • Provide competitive insights on other dispensaries in the area (products they carry, price points, specials and promotions, marketing efforts, etc.)
  • Manage and update dispensary website content as needed
  • Manage and develop content for social media platforms; manage social community management
  • Create and manage patient communications (text and newsletter)
  • Maintain and optimize content for digital screens and menu boards
  • Work with advertising and media partners to optimize media plans and advertising, as well as providing creative and content direction
  • Work with creative team to develop all creative assets needed, such as posters, flyers, menu board graphics, email graphics, external advertising, etc.
  • Manage and adhere to established schedules in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, while ensuring accuracy and follow through
  • Partners with and maintains productive working relationships with the dispensary teams
  • Works productively with internal cross-functional teams as well as external partners
Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in marketing or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of marketing experience in a retail or CPG environment
Preferred Skills
  • Cannabis industry experience
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • Motivated, flexible, detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
  • Collaborates and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment with a positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external agency partners
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and be results-oriented
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
