Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the dispatch department
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods
- Utilize Xcelerator Transportation Management system to optimize routes and track shipments
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of all transportation activities through Xcelerator
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Resolve any issues or delays in transportation, taking appropriate action as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Train and supervise dispatch staff, providing guidance and support as needed

Requirements:

- Excellent and professional communication skill required - written and oral.
- Experience in transportation management or a similar role, a plus

- Good email management skills.
- Familiarity with phone systems and other relevant software based communications systems
- Knowledge of fleet management principles and practices, a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with cloud dispatch systems - Xcelerator experience is a plus
