Job Description

Private owned, asset-based trucking operation consisting of approximately 100 drivers that provides transportation services for dedicated and spot freight is seeking a Logistics Specialist.

Position Responsibilities



Responsible for ensuring professional and courteous dispatch communications with Drivers and Customers Responsible for day-to-day management of the drivers assigned. Which includes but is not limited to collecting necessary paperwork from driver to ensure day is complete, ensure driver HOS are managed. Responsible for driver retention. Support drivers on a professional level with effort from any and all departments to help solve any issues they may be having. Responsible for front line customer engagement, which includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and problem solving regarding any and all issues associated with delays. Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of all freight in the most efficient manner possible. Responsible for monitoring, coordinating and dispatch of routes in order to coordinate service and schedules. Responsible for monitoring any and all routes assigned that are late and updating the customer with timely communication. Responsible for promptly responding to escalated customer calls regarding delivery concerns Responsible for timely reporting of incidents and/or accidents to the Safety department. Responsible for the completion of an e-mail shift summary. MUST be able to work as an effective TEAM member. MUST be able to multi-task and work in a very fast paced environment with efficiency and not get upset and overwhelmed. MUST be willing to accept other duties as assigned. MUST be willing to work until the job is completed.

Essential Skills and Experience



Education/Experience

Minimum of High School diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years' experience.
Skills

Demonstrate organizational and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to prioritize workflow and the ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities. Ability to perform effectively with or without supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines. Ability to interact effectively and professionally and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
