Capitol Express is a regional expedited freight & cartage carrier with locations in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Louisville, and Lexington. Our customers include Air Cargo, Freight Forwarders, local industries, 3PLs, and other trucking companies.

Capitol Express is seeking a Dispatcher/Account Representative for both day and night Shift

Night Shift is Sunday through Wednesday 7:00pm to 7am/ every other Saturday 7:00pm to 7:00am. Night is 12-hour shifts. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE JOB.....

Day Shift starts at 07:00

Entry Level Candidates will be trained for a future in Fast Growing Industry of Logistics

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES:
Taking Client Calls
Receiving and Responding to Email alerts.
Entering alerts (data entry) for delivery into dispatch software.
Assigning jobs to drivers.
Routing & Mapping.
Tracking & Advising.

Requirements

Working knowledge of Columbus Metro area is required.

DRIVER EXPERIENCE IS A GOOD START.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in route building and on demand pickup and delivery. An awareness of cartage operations is a plus. Must be able to perform tasks with speed and accuracy. Requires the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in order to meet schedules and timelines. It will be a fast-paced environment where you will need the ability to "think on your feet" Candidate must have strong computer skills with cartage dispatch software and be quick study when it comes to new processes and procedures. Experience with Airfreight is a plus. Strong "People Skills" that allow them to effectively interact with broad and diverse range of people. A good sense of humor, even temper, and ability to "roll with the punches" are necessary Requires the ability to independently perform all of the duties of the position efficiently and effectively. Must show a history of reliability, punctuality, dependability, and the ability to handle responsibility. This is a key position in our company and the ability to meet client expectations with respect to established Key Performance Indicators is crucial.
