About the role





The Dispatcher reports to and supports the Transportation Manager in daily operational and Administrative tasks within the department assigned by the Transportation Manager.

What you'll do



Key Tasks and Responsibilities



Coordinate and update daily driver schedules communicate any changes promptly Enter and review timekeeping data and timecards daily. Accurately input data from Driver/Attendant (D/A) reports. Provide customer service and support in coordination with partners and clients. Manage incoming client calls , route and follow up as needed. Respond to transport requests using available company resources. Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally. Complete clerical and administrative duties as assigned. Assess next-day resource availability Identify and address potential scheduling issues. Adjust schedules and reassign drivers to ensure adequate coverage. Report operational issues to Management, including recommended solutions. Schedule transportation routes in alignment with the Transportation Coordinator's plans. Provide lunch relief or backup support for operations. Prepare and submit additional assigned reports.

Qualifications



Education & Training



High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required. Dispatchers should be familiar with the driving region and the surrounding areas.

Knowledge and Experience



Minimum 1 year of experience working in Senior care is preferred Strong knowledge of the service area, including local streets, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns. Experience in dispatching, vehicle scheduling, or administrative office work is desirable. Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating around areas using a GPS. Physical certifications: Pass DOT "fitness for duty" exam; HEP B Series and contractual vaccinations Acceptable background screens, which include but is not limited to criminal check and drug and alcohol screening Valid Authorization to work in the U.S.

Working Conditions



Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must pass pre-employment screening - background and drug screen which includes alcohol screening

Physical Requirements



Ability to sit or stand for periods of up to 4 hours. Frequent use of office equipment, including computer, keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, and filing systems, typically while seated. Requires the ability to perform tasks using safe and proper body mechanics, including reaching, bending, and lifting light objects as needed.
