The Position:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented

Dispatcher

to join the team.


The Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient collection of garbage and recycling materials by coordinating routes, managing drivers, and maintaining communication between field operations and office staff.

Job Duties:

Schedule and dispatch garbage trucks to residential, commercial, and industrial routes Monitor driver locations, progress, and performance throughout the day Adjust routes and assignments in response to delays, breakdowns, or emergencies Communicate with drivers via phone, radio, or digital dispatch systems Maintain accurate records of routes, service requests, and completed jobs Collaborate with operations managers to optimize efficiency and reduce fuel/maintenance costs Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to missed pickups or service delays Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and E-Mail, proficient in 10 key, keyboarding and typing skills a must Excellent verbal communications skills.
